Connect Class

Who: Marrieds and singles, ages 40 – 60
Teacher: Tim Powell
Description: We are currently studying the Gospel of John. John gives his purpose for writing his gospel at the end of his book in John 20:30-31:30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. So, as we dig into this Gospel our hope is that we will see those who already believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God have their faith confirmed and deepened. And if there are those who do not believe that they will come to believe that Jesus is God’s Son and experience the life available in His name. John’s Gospel is different than the other three Gospels we have in our New Testament. The theme of John’s Gospel is that Jesus is the Eternal Son of God. This Gospel is filled with personal interviews and miracles that emphasize the deity and Sonship of Jesus. Over 30 times in this book Jesus refers to God as my father. Come join as we go on this journey together as we get to know Jesus more intimately.
